TY - JOUR PY - 1997// TI - A comparative study of both breath and blood alcohol concentration using the 'totally reliable' alcotest decive 7110 Evidential JO - Blutalkohol A1 - Kohler, H. A1 - Banaschak, Sibylle A1 - Brinkmann, B. SP - 36 EP - 44 VL - 34 IS - 1 N2 - In an experimental study 239 pairs of values from simultaneous blood and breath alcohol concentrations were evaluated. The statistical evaluation of the data showed a mean difference between the pairs of (mu) = +0.01671 (per mille) and a variance of (sigma) = 0.08461 (per mille). The largest differences between the pairs were -0.30 (per mille) and 0.26 (per mille). The differences were unrelated to the alcohol concentrations. A discrepancy of (plus or minus) 0.30 (per mille) should be taken into consideration in the forensically relevant concentration range.
