N2  - The author discusses the effects which could follow upon the lowering of the minimum legal age at which a juvenile may obtain alcoholic beverages. His discussion is based on multiple, and by and large, statistical investigations. Based on Canadian investigations the effects are evaluated with regard to the alcohol consumption of juveniles as such, the educational problems and eventually the effect on traffic accident figures. On the whole the effects due to a low minimum age are evaluated negatively.     <p>DWI</p>
