TY - JOUR PY - 1998// TI - Investigations on the ethanol elimination after per-os ingestion of fructose and glucose JO - Blutalkohol A1 - Tatschner, T A1 - Patzelt, D. A1 - Lang, C. SP - 19 EP - 24 VL - 35 IS - 1 N2 - Influence of fructose and glucose on ethanol reduction was examined in the context of three drinking experiments using eight test subjects under real life conditions. The post drinking observation period lasted 150 minutes. The ethanol load in each case amounted to 0.86 g/kg (females) or 1.00 g/kg (males). In the second experiment a standard amount of 42.9 g fructose was administered at the commencement of drinking, in the third experiment this was replaced with the same amount of glucose. In sugar application, there was a reduction in the maximum values of blood alcohol concentration. No acceleration in ethanol reduction in the liver could be detected.
