N2  - Human injuries caused by animals are not uncommon and have been reported in the literature on many occasions. Most of the animals commonly involved are dogs, cats, cows, horses and camels. Injuries are usually on the trunk or limbs and sometimes on the face. Human injuries caused by an ostrich are rare and only three cases have been reported with severe ocular injury.
