N2  - The Taiwan Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems (TOSHMS) and literature relevant to safety culture were used to sort out the influential dimensions in safety culture, establish a questionnaire framework for evaluating current safety culture, analyze four railway companies in Taiwan, and further investigate the current safety culture and the relationship between safety culture and occupational accidents. It was found in the investigation that significant percept ional differences existed in Health Activities, Safety Training, Safety Rule, Safety System, Safety Encouragement and Punishment, and Performance Measurement. From the analysis of safety culture and disabling injury frequency Rate（DIFR）, it is known that low DIFR does not ensure that risks are effectively controlled. It is thus known that the railway industry in Taiwan needs continuous improvement in terms of safety culture.<p /> <p>Language: en</p>
