This study develops an evaluation method that is used to identify the presence of hazardous substances from building materials and assess their public health impact. Research findings confirm the existence of large amounts of hazardous substances in most of the man-made products. The current information on building products and their effects to human are limited and not easily accessed. There is a need for improved knowledge sharing on building materials information that would be the greatest investments to health and safety in the built environment industry.
