These provisions define sexual offenses which victimize children under the age of fourteen years. They also make it a criminal offense for persons in a position of trust or authority towards a young person (aged 14-18 years) to touch such a young person for a sexual purpose or to induce that young person to touch anyone. The procurement of a person under the age of 18 years for prostitution is a criminal offense as is knowingly allowing a young person (aged 14-18 years) to use a premises for any sexual activity. No one is to live off of the avails of prostitution or of another person under the age of 18 years, and it is illegal to induce a person under the age of 18 into providing sexual services for a consideration. The Evidence Act is amended to allow videotaped evidence in cases where the complainant is under the age of 18 years at the time the offense occurred.
