An item analysis yielded statistically signifi cant differences on 35 of the 100 SOQ items. These items centered on the following themes: religion, psychopathology, aggression-impulsivity, acceptability of suicide, the "cry for help" dimension, and emotional impact. The implications of these findings are discussed briefly.
