N2  - The concept of cultural sensitivity has been written about extensively in the literature. It has evolved into a caricatured concept that has led to stereotypic overgeneralizations of entire ethnic populations. This article proposes a macrosystem model of viewing ethnic minority families that takes into consideration the sociocultural and spiritual contexts with which most families of color present.
