N2  - This paper examines some aspects of the transportation problems of the physically handicapped and gives some insights into the interrelationship of trip making, trip purpose, mode use, and desires for transportation improvements. The results of this study indicate that the transportation needs of the physically handicapped are rather heterogeneous and, therefore, no single transportation mode is likely to meet their travel needs.<p />
