It notes that suspects in the country can only be arrested with a warrant yet the police can carry out detention in cases involving a crime scene or when a suspect needs to be prevented from fleeing. Several crime issues facing the region are examined which include human and drug trafficking. Statistics show that a total of 100,536 crimes have been reported in 2005 in which 2,945 involved juvenile offenders. Keywords: Human trafficking
