N2  - The article presents an analysis on the framework decisions of the European Union (EU) regarding criminalisation and adjustment of penalties. It states that EU framework decisions, which aim to adjust criminal laws, have greatly affected the criminal legislation and increase the repression in Nordic countries. It notes that counterfeiting, money laundering, and human trafficking are some of the cases which are included in the framework decisions of EU. It adds that over-criminalization could be the result of the implementation of framework decisions in Nordic countries.
