TY - JOUR PY - 2015// TI - The effect of vehicle pitch angle in pedestrian collisions JO - VKU Verkehrsunfall und Fahrzeugtechnik A1 - Fürbeth, Uwe SP - 316 EP - 323 VL - 53 IS - 9 N2 - Collisions between vehicles and pedestrians are affected by manifold influences. A central link during reconstruction of this type of accidents is the throwing distance of the pedestrian. This article is dealing with the deceleration caused change of the vehicle's body angle around its body-fixed lateral axis as well as the quantification of influence on pedestrian's trajectory after collision. Further parameters like vehicle trunk load, anti-lock brake and suspension stiffnesses are discussed. (A)
