N2  - An intervention procedure was implemented which required a 14-year-old "emotionally disturbed" boy to gradually emit fewer and fewer inappropriate responses to adult directions in order to earn a later bed time. The boy's inappropriate responses decreased from a mean of 4.8 per day during baseline to a mean of only 0.3 per day during the final experimental condition. A changing criterion design was used to evaluate the intervention. Possible uses and limitations of the design are also discussed.<p /> <p>Language: en</p>
