N2  - The Army Behavioral Health Integrated Data Environment (ABHIDE) is a suicide registry containing extensive data on U.S. Army Soldiers with suicidal behavior. Development of the ABHIDE began in 2009 in response to the doubling of the Army suicide rate from 2004 to 2008. It now consists of 28 administrative data sets from 11 organizations throughout the Departments of the Army and Defense. Data include personnel variables, military characteristics, medical claims, criminal histories, characteristics of the suicidal events, and stressors. Through the ABHIDE, the U.S. Army is better able to answer requests for information, inform public health practice, and develop suicide prevention programs.<p />  <p>Language: en</p>
