N2  - Introduction    Women are the real foundation of our society and unfortunately the most neglected aspect of importance too. Injuries to women is nothing new but a dedicated study to find out the reasons and urgent interventions to interrupt the causes is the need of hour. Being the "Passive recipient" most of the times, they are the most suffered ones.     Aims & Objectves    To find out the frequency of p~attern of injuries in women of rural setting presenting to emergency department so that specific interventions could be planned to prevent these events.     Methods    Ours was a Registery based Retrospective study done between July 2014 to July 2015 in which the Pattern of injury of all the females with any age group attending to our emergency was noted.     Results    A total of 658 patient were registered during the study out of which 289 (43.92%) was due to road traffic accidents, 165(28.07%) burn injuries, 87 (13.22%) fall from height, 44 (6.8%) had alleged history of poisoning, 25 (3.79%) suffered domestic violence or assault, 24 (3.64%) had alleged history of firearm injury, 23 (3.49%)due to occupational injury, and 1 (0.15%) case reported due to hanging.     Conclusion    Females are the the major recipient of passive trauma in our society either in Road traffic accidents or in Burn injuries<p />  <p>Language: en</p>
