TY - JOUR PY - 1986// TI - Contemporary Armenian Terrorism JO - Terrorism A1 - Gunter, Michael SP - 213 EP - 252 VL - 8 IS - 3 N2 - In the past decade Armenian terrorists have assassinated 30 Turkish diplomats or members of their immediate families, as well as an approximately equal number of nonāTurks. In addition, well over 300 other people around the world have been wounded by their attacks. The purpose of this article is to move beyond the analysis in my earlier studies of the subject by analyzing the present state of the Armenian terrorist movement with regard to (1) its theoretically stated positions and goals, (2) its actual operations and current dissensions, and (3) the personal characteristics of its perpetrators.
