N2 - As soon as their prehospital care begins, patients with a serious head injury are given intensive care to offset the systemic failures observed and minimise secondary brain damage. In intensive care, monitoring is continuous and neuroprotection optimised. While the prognosis of the patient remains uncertain, their family are included and involved in their global care.
