SP - 300 EP - 310 VL - 8 IS - 4 N2 - This article focuses upon the practical utilization of the APA Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct (APA 2010a), henceforth termed the Ethics Code, in the course of everyday clinical practice. The article is divided into the following sections: (1) introduction outlining the contextual approach to ethics-guided practice, (2) description of the varied elements of the Ethical Principles in the current Code and presentation of a rationale emphasizing application of those principles in clinical practice, (3) ethical decision-making and demonstration of a truncated version of a field-tested decisional model, and (4) practical applications of the five ethical principles in situations involving several diagnostic populations with neurological impairment, focusing upon vulnerabilities inherent in those diagnostic categories and emphasizing ethical considerations for the practitioner.
