N2  - Isolated bilateral subconjunctival hemorrhages developed in an adult patient after ingestion of a large amount (6.48 g) of aspirin. The time course and bilateral pattern suggest a direct metabolic relationship between these two events. Adverse ocular effect of aspirin previously described have not included this finding. Treatment was supportive for the ingestion and was accompanied by spontaneous clearing of the hemorrhage.<p /> <p>Language: en</p>
