N2  - Intimate partner violence is a universal phenomenon that warrants awareness by all health care providers. This article summarizes a Cochrane Review on screening women for intimate partner violence in health care settings. The review authors identified 13 randomized controlled trials and quasi-randomized controlled trials that assessed the effectiveness of screening for intimate partner violence.
