Method Participants rated therapeutic alliance after each session, and presence of R-R episodes was calculated throughout the course of treatment. We predicted that patients who experienced R-R episodes would have significantly better treatment outcomes than those who did not. Results ANCOVA analyses indicated that the presence or absence of R-R episodes was not meaningfully related to treatment outcome, with the exception of the Goals & Task domain of alliance, which was meaningfully related to improved outcome. Conclusions Attending to disagreements regarding treatment Goals & Task may be uniquely important for individuals with PTSD.
