N2  - The present study contributes cross validational evidence on the Impact of Events Scale with a sample of adult survivors of two recent disasters at sea. Although findings are largely consistent with previous research in identifying two major factors of intrusion and avoidance, several discrepancies are noted which suggest a need for further psychometric clarification.<p />
