N2  - Suicide rates from a global sample of 73 countries over the period 1990-2010 are empirically explored. We find evidence of an 'N-shaped' suicidal Kuznets curve between per capita income and suicide rates in the male population of 25-34, 34-54 and 55-74 age groups and the female population of the 55-74 age group. These results remain firm to several robustness checks.<p />
