N2  - The temperature curves described characterize the temperature course of ventilation controlled fires of various severities. They are intended as basic exposure curves for fire-resistive design. The expressions are intended to fill the need for well defined temperature-time relations that characterize the severity of fires that commonly occur. With the aid of these expressions, prediction of the fire resistance of building components exposed to fire of any severity is simplified.<p />
