N2  - The surface and interfacial tensions of aqueous solutions of surface active agents including aqueous film-forming foams (AFFF) were studied by the traditional manual method of measurement and by a modern automatic method. The paper shows the advantages of automatic surface and interfacial tension measurements over manual measurements as they apply primarily to the use of AFFF in the fire fighting field.<p />
