N2  - Physiological characteristics of child athletes cannot be examined independently from the changes that occur during growth and maturation. This article reviews changes occurring in aerobic and anaerobic capacities, muscle strength and endurance in parallel with growth and development, and the factors affecting these changes, in particular, training.
