N2  - In the dental practice, several situations that might lead to conflict are imaginable. How a dentist deals with a conflict depends in part on the importance he places on the content of the conflict in relation to the importance of the relationship with the patient. This article briefly describes 5 conflict management styles. On the basis of case histories, suggestions are made for handling situations when a conflict leads to aggression, you are facing sexual intimidation or a conflict develops with a demanding patient. Finally, some advice is given on how to deal with errors/complications in treatment and dealing with criticism.<p />  <p>Language: nl</p>    In de tandartspraktijk zijn verschillende situaties denkbaar die kunnen leiden tot een conflict. Hoe met een conflict wordt omgegaan, hangt mede af van het belang van de inhoud van het conflict ten opzichte van het belang van de relatie met de patiënt. In dit artikel worden 5 conflict-hanteringstijlen kort beschreven. Aan de hand van casussen wordt beschreven hoe kan worden gehandeld als een conflict uitmondt in agressie, men wordt geconfronteerd met seksuele intimidatie of als er een conflict ontstaat met een veeleisende patiënt. Ten slotte worden nog enkele tips gegeven over hoe met fouten, complicaties en kritiek kan worden omgegaan.<p />  <p>Language: nl</p>
