To create programs to help women escape the cycle, a full understanding of economic solvency is needed. A Model of Economic Solvency has been created, and this Grounded Theory study serves to validate the model and give more details so that it can be effectively used in research and interventions. The revised model defines economic solvency as a woman's human capital, social capital, sustainable employment, independence, and assets. These factors are affected by opportunities and threats in her relationships, community, and society.
