The research team reviewed the state of the practice regarding intelligent transportation systems (ITS) and CV technologies being applied as wrong-way driving (WWD) countermeasures. Next, the research team identified user needs associated with the implementation of CV WWD applications, and developed a concept of operations and functional requirements for CV WWD applications. The research team then built, tested, and successfully conducted a proof-of-concept demonstration of the CV WWD applications at the Texas A&M University RELLIS Campus.
