N2  - The author reports that total accidents are down after installation of two-way, left-turn lanes, studies of four locations in Michigan show. Before- and after-accident records compiled by the Department of State Highways and Transportation reveal that reductions in all types of accidents were down 33 per cent; even headon collisions were reduced, as were injuries from this type of accident.<p />
