A1 - Williams, P.L. SP - 144 EP - 147 VL - 21 IS - Suppl N2 - For the past 20 months the Home Office Central Research Establishment has been carrying out routine analysis of blood and urine samples for cannabinoids. This service has been provided for the Forensic Science Laboratories of Great Britain and has resulted in analyses in a variety of cases. These include, drug possession and drug/driving offenses and unexpectedly rapes, suicides, murders and indecent assaults. Of the 66 samples analysed, six showed indications of cannabinoid activity by direct RIA. Further analysis of three of these six samples by the combined HPLC/RIA approach gave chromatograms similar to those obtained from known cannabis smokers. Keywords: Cannabis impaired driving
