TY - JOUR PY - 2020// TI - Calculation of the ground casualty risk during aerial work of unmanned aerial vehicles in the urban environment JO - Transportation research procedia A1 - Ažaltovič, Viliam A1 - Skvarekova, Iveta A1 - Pecho, Pavol A1 - Kandera, Branislav SP - 271 EP - 275 VL - 44 IS - N2 - The paper assume with calculations of possible ground casualty risk of randomly falling out-of-control UAV on a simulated flight path from city of Žilina to city of Martin, during hypothetical delivery mission. For given area, the authors has calculated probability of a third party casualties caused by lose of control during the flight of UAV. While working on this article, the authors has applied the calculations in real environment conditions. The areas which the drone has been simulated to be flying above, has consisted of different density of population. For calculations, the ELOS (Equivalent Level Of Safety) approach has been used. The conclusions contain the recommendations for safety improvements during designing flight routes for drones.
