N2  - Numerous failure cases in the field show, that the existing standards for fatigue tests on bicycles cannot ensure the athletes safety. Therefore the Institute for Sport Equipment and Materials at the TU Munich carried out an extensive field test to obtain the operational loads placed on mountain bikes and road racing bikes.
