N2  - Results are presented of a Special Crash Investigations of air bag injuries in children conducted by the United States National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. A series of twenty-nine cases of serious or fatal injuries to children attributed to air bag deployment is presented. Results revealed that the severity of the air bag-associated injuries in the children in the series are in contrast to the mostly minor injuries reported in adults.<p />
