SP - 207 EP - 218 VL - 40 IS - N2 - A study involving component testing of human cadaver lower extremities was conducted at the Medical College of Wisconsin laboratories in order to better understand the biomechanical response of the human foot-ankle complex under dynamic axial loading. Biomechanical results along with the specimens details are presented. Pathology identified by palpitation, radiography and detailed dissection includes extra/intra-articular fractures of the distal tibia/calcaneous complex with or without extensions into the respective anatomic joints.
