Furthermore, religion rituals determine fundamental human moments including birth, puberty, marriage and death and as a result, religion has a significant impact on human life within communities. The chief aim of the present article is to investigate the substantial effects of religion on suicide behavior from epidemiological point of view. The chief aim of the present article is to investigate the substantial effects of religion on suicide behavior from epidemiological point of view. Therefore, within the present article the view of five important religions including Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity and Islam on suicide behavior are discussed. And it is pointed out that among these religions Islam has the most essential view on prevention of suicide behavior.
