Future evaluations of training programmes should include assessments that measure actual (not just perceived) behavioural outcomes in practice and examine the relationship between providers' educational outcomes and women's safety and well-being. Context Global estimates indicate that approximately one in three women has experienced physical and/or sexual IPV, or non-partner violence, across their lifespan.1 Experiences of IPV have significant short-term and long-term impacts on women's physical, mental, sexual and reproductive health, and their children's well-being.
