Advanced driver assistance systems use different types of sensor technologies such as radar sensors with 77 GHz for Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) systems for measuring the distance and speed of vehicle and monitoring the speed and distance of source vehicle. The sensor mounted on at the side of vehicle perform Blind Spot Detection (BSD) and Lane Change Assist (LCA) functions that warn the driver of object present in the blind spot or in the line adjacent to the blind spot. The incorporation of LCA and BSD with the navigation systems provide enhanced road guidance. Video sensor of the system detect image-based features such as the lateral position, size and type of objects, traffic signs and lane markings. ADAS system help to reduce the risk of road accidents.
