N2  - This paper discusses how to combine factor analysis method and analytic hierarchy process to evaluate road traffic safety. So we name it as F-AHP method. In this method we should construct a kind of hierarchy relation among being evaluated indexes. According to the gained value we can measure the significance of the indexes belonging to the same layer. So the weights that every layer correspond to objective layer can be calculated making use of AHP method. Then we did objective evaluation with linear weight method to what we would evaluate. At last, we make contrast with other methods and studied the application, and obtain different conclusions compared with other methods.<p />
