It has been shown that physical exercise reduced fall risk by 23-42% in community-dwelling adults aged 65+. This is particularly true for physical exercises with functional, balance and strength components. Growing evidence shows that functional training is particularly effective in reducing fall risk. Functional training is composed by exercises which reflect activities of daily life, supported by weights and other aids.
