N2  - To the Editor We read with interest the article by Byrne et al,1 which evaluated the association between geospatial access to care and firearm injury mortality in an urban trauma system. The authors, after a complex statistical analysis, found that each additional minute of predicted ground transport time was associated with an increase in odds of mortality. Recent studies have indeed shown that the longer the prehospital time, the higher the mortality, including in health care systems where prehospital rescue is medicalized.<p />  <p>Language: en</p>
