N2 - INTRODUCTION AND IMPORTANCE: Intraluminal migration of pellet has a wide range of manifestations. It can be asymptomatic or present with devastating outcomes such as ischemia, sepsis, or pulmonary embolism. CASE PRESENTATION: We present a case of 57-year-old male who had a shot from air gun to his thigh, with antegrade migration to left proximal common femoral vein. CLINICAL DISCUSSION: He was taken to operating room for open exploration and retrieval of the pellet.
CONCLUSION: In summary, this case emphasizes the significance of stepwise approach in diagnosing and management of intra-vascular missiles. After establishing the diagnosis counselling for the patient in details for the risk and benefit of intervention is needed to choose either retrieval of the pellet or more of a conservative approach.
