N2  - In the paper, we analyze the main psychological approaches to suicidal behavior, including those applied to adolescent suicides. The models that emphasize the factors that play a significant role in the transition from suicidal thoughts to a potentially lethal suicidal attempt (interpersonal theory, integrative motivational-volitional model, three-step theory) are highlighted. Studies conducted among adolescents on the basis of psychological models of suicidal behavior are presented.
