N2  - In forensic practice a wide-range of preceding data on suicide cases can be processed, and the following deductions can be made and relationships applied in the long-term prevention of suicides. Our goal was to study the relations between alcohol intoxication, suicide notes, previous attempts and previous indications of intent. Our results showed a positive correlation among the studied parameters. In both sexes the number of previous indications of intention and previous attempts was significantly higher in the group of individuals leaving suicide notes than in the group of persons not leaving suicide notes. A significantly higher number of previous attempts was found in persons with previously indicated intentions than in the group of persons with non-indicated intentions. A medium level of alcohol intoxication was found in the highest case number of males. Alcohol intoxication was not found in the majority of females at the time of suicides.<p /> <p>Language: hu</p>
