The authors pointed out that drunkness and intoxication are one of the most relevant elements concerning violent death, and they have suggested some research proposals and preventive policies. The role of alcohol in death production, under violent circunstances is well stablised, and abuse is considered as a public health relevant issue that has not been taken into account by health authorities.
