N2  - This contribution explores a strategy for landslide hazard zonation in which layers of spatial data are used to represent typical settings in which given dynamic types of landslides are likely to occur. The concepts of assessment and prediction are defined to focus on the representation of future hazardous events and in particular on the myths that often provide obstacles in the application of quantitative methods. The prediction- rate curves for different applications describe the support provided by the different data layers in experiments in which the typical setting of hazardous events is approximated by statistically integrating the spatial information.     <p>Language: en</p>
