TY - JOUR PY - 2002// TI - Lamotrigine (Lamictal®) acute poisoning: Clinical and toxicokinetics correlation JO - Journal Européen des Urgences A1 - Weiss, B. A1 - Rothmann, Ch. A1 - Weber, M. A1 - Streiff, R. A1 - Seiwert, E. SP - 208 EP - 210 VL - 15 IS - 4 N2 - Very few lamotrigine acute poisonings have been reported. None of them report a correlation between the clinic and toxicokinetic features. We report a case of acute self-poisoning by lamotrigine and alprazolam. The main clinical symptoms were neurological and gastrointestinal. The peak plasma concentration was 25.3 mcg/ml, the elimination half-life was 26 hours, suggesting linear kinetics (order 1). The patient had a favorable course after supportive treatment alone.
