SP - 294 EP - 298 VL - 20 IS - 7 N2 - The present study attempts to analyze the demographics and clinic signs (age, sex, civil state, age of beginning, number and characteristic of previous income, tapping, cultural level, familiar precedents), of the patients diagnosed as disorder of personality according to the DSM-IV that attend emergencies rooms of the Hospital of Jaén during the year 2003. We determine the differences among the types of personality disorders and the motives of demand, (i. e. attempts of suicide, anxiety states, depression, panic, psychotics symptoms, consumption of ilegal drugs, behavior disorders, etc.). In the same way we compare the characteristics of the income of these patients with those of the total population of patients attended in the Unit of Acute (demographic and mean stay).
