Recent data released by the Centers for Disease Control state that in 2000, an estimated 441,247 children aged 12-19 years were treated in hospitals for non-fatal violent injuries. This article will review the impact of violence on adolescent health, specifically focusing on interpersonal violence, intimate partner violence, and suicide.
